Buy it.

After struggling with what I call Glue Words for years, I finally found this book. I was astounded at how much my reading skills improved after only a few days with this. I'll read it again and again, and keep it nearby for review. A must-buy for beginners.

there is nothing like it. It seems it's going to answer just ...

If you are at 'Intermediate' level, you will do yourself the biggest favour buying this. As far as I know, there is nothing like it. It seems it's going to answer just about all those pesky questions: which one reviewer called Glue words. But, it's not only 'words', it's also the clauses (and these even Kenkyusha often omits and most text books glide over). This book appears to deal with all you'll need, and with copious examples, most surely useful for everyday and: "Ah, now I now how to say that", is a frequent reaction. I'm only up to page 63, out of 156; but have read these in a day because it's like a page-turner mystery-solution: i.e., how to properly use and understand ~て おく and ～て しまう (page 62!) And there's more to come! Thank you Shoji-san.

Not for newbies.

This is, indeed, an informative book, but it helps to know an intermediate level of Japanese before you start. I like the fact that it uses Romaji as well as kana and kanji. I've had it for quite some time and haven't even made it half way through. I still give it 4 stars, because it's not the book's fault I'm not as smart as some other buyers/students.
