Marilyn Cruise has done it again in her sequel White Chapel. I absolutely adored this novel and found myself turning the pages eagerly wanting more. I cannot wait for her the last book in the series to be released! Cruise effectively continues the story of a stripper and a billionaire who wishes to marry her for an inheritance. This novel is crazy passionate and had me not knowing my feelings toward the two as a couple. My opinions were changing and developing with every turn in the story. There is only three things you need to accomplish tonight: read this novel, indulge in the seductive world Cruise has created, and dream of a handsome billionaire.

I can't get enough of this book that had me crying and laughing all the way to ordering the 3rd book, my advise get all three at once. This book continues with Michael and Scarletts plan to decieve his mother Diane, who is as vicious as she is sweet. She definitely sees right threw both of then up to and including her final message to Scarlett. When Michael finally realizes he truly loves her, will it be too late, has all the lies and mistrust really the end? This book will capture your heart so you can't help but go onto book three.

Just short of a PKD masterpiece

A truly astonishing work that, in my opinion, should easily stand among PKD's best work save for one flaw - an unnecessary epilogue that saps a bit of power from the otherwise gut-wrenching finish, putting a happy polish on what should have been a more bleak finale.

Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said is, like the works that best represent Philip K. Dick's career, a "What is reality?" book. The scenario he lets unfold - one day a guy is the Johnny Carson of his time, known and loved by all, the next day he is an unknown without an identity and doesn't know why - keeps you turning pages, wanting to know the truth as badly as the protagonist. The world he creates is, as always, intricate in its not-quite-the-world-we-know details. And the ending? Wow. Remove that epilogue (which in a very unDickian manner wraps everything up in a neat little bow at the end) and it's very powerful. If you've read PKD before, this will be familiar to you - twisted reality, hazy drugs, a world turned on its head - and if you haven't, Flow My Tears offers a good look at everything that makes up what a Philip k. Dick book is.

If only it didn't have that darn Hollywood ending ...

Can't say much more than other brilliant reviewers here

Can't say much more than other brilliant reviewers here. The very intelligent, insightful calibre of most of their reviews tells you something about the book that is worth their attention. Phillip K. Dick wrote a huge number of short stories and novels that are only now able, with the magic of cg, to be made into popular movies, standing the test of time. Although there are some easily forgiven minor future gaffs of technology, Dick's true talent is in the big picture of predicting the way we are headed and in "what if" scenarios. Most of his books I would actually categorize as psychological thrillers, scaring us into mending our ways because this is what can happen if we keep on the way the world is so blithley heading. Flow my tears is one of his better books - those written in the 60's and 70's for me, his best. For anyone not familiar with PKD, this is a good one to start with - you will understand whether you just don't get it and drop the author, or love the quirky originality and have that rare joy of finding an author you haven't read, who has left you a huge body of work to keep you going.

Of all the U-boat war losses in the Channel, McCartney found that some 41% were heretofore unaccounted for in the historical literature of World War I and World War II.

This book reconciles these inaccuracies with the archaeological record by presenting case studies of a number of dives conducted in the English Channel. Using empirical evidence, this book investigates possible reasons historical inconsistencies persist and what Allied operational and intelligence-based processes caused them to occur in the first place. Innes McCartney is a nautical archaeologist, historian, author and broadcaster. He obtained his PhD from Bournemouth University and is known for his work in using archaeological research to identify 40 new German submarine wrecks in the waters around the UK and Ireland. He has published in such places as the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology, and SKYLLIS, The Journal of the German Society for the Promotion of Underwater Archeology.
