Within this book, the authors made great attempts to include variables that confront individuals as they seek to either pursue or change careers. They offered various theoretical perspectives in which one can identify where they are and understand where they are going or would like to go by isolating their interest, values, and personality type which could result in success. This success can be where they are now or where they end up.
They also emphasized the life span of a person taking into consideration various roles each person will hold at differing times but how to maneuver through those phases successfully.
The authors also incorporated the various theoretical perspectives strengths and weaknesses as they relate to how inclusive or effective they are with other cultures, gender, and ethnic groups.
